Flex is an Open Source RIA development toolkit based on the Adobe Flash Player, working both in browsers and desktop (through Adobe AIR platform) This session will present the main benefits of using Flex, it will cover the programming language, it will show how to easily connect Flex with Java backend and how to integrate Flex with other technologies as Javascript.

Adobe LiveCycle Data Services ES software is a high-performance framework that simplifies the development of RIAs using Adobe Flex software. It reduces the complexity required to create several features for RIA applications as collaboration, synchronization, offline support.

Backed by a powerful data services API, the software simplifies data management problems and allows to create real-time and near real-time solutions.

LiveCycle Data Services ES is deployed as a standard Java EE Web application, which enables you to leverage your existing infrastructure and investments.

Also, it can be easily integrated with popular frameworks as Hibernate and Spring. The session will present the most important features through code samples.
