Title: Introduction to the Liferay Platform

Agenda:

In this presentation we’d have a quick overview on the history of portal. The attendees will see how a CMS system changed to a robust platform. Secondly we will cover technical details on

· how the Liferay Portal is built up from an architectural perspective

· how can we develop based on this platform, and

· what the platform provides us.

The presentation will also include a demo of creating a portlet from scratch.
